We’re having trouble playing this title Netflix error

Test your internet connection by going to Settings > System settings > Network settings > Wired or Wireless > Test Xbox LIVE connection > Continue.

If the connection check is successful, restart the home network as described below.

Restart the home network

  • Unplug your game console and all home network devices for 30 seconds before connecting each one individually.
  • Turn off or unplug the game console.
  • Disconnect the modem (and the WLAN router if it is a separate device) from the network for 30 seconds.
  • Connect the modem and wait for the new indicator light to come on. If your router is disconnected from your modem, plug it in and wait for the new light to come on.
  • Turn on your game console and try Netflix again.

Connect your game console directly to the modem

If your wireless router is connected to a modem and still can’t connect after restarting the network, try bypassing the router to find the cause of the problem by troubleshooting the router or problems with the wireless connection as a possible cause. To do this:

  • Turn off the console.
  • Connect the console directly to the modem using an Ethernet cable.
  • Unplug the modem for at least 30 seconds.
  • Replace it and wait for the new indicators to flash.
  • Turn on the console and try Netflix again.

If you have the ability to stream Netflix and you’ve bypassed your router, this is probably what’s causing the problem.

However, bypassing the router is not a complete solution. Therefore, contact the person who set up your home network to help you reset or reconfigure the router settings.

If you can’t stream Netflix after bypassing your router, contact your hardware provider to make sure your modem and internet services are working properly.

If you cannot perform this step, try connecting the console and modem directly, as this will help you rule out your router as the cause of the error. If you cannot establish this direct connection, try the following solution.

Is Netflix not working on your Xbox One? Read this guide and the problem will be solved in no time.

Improve your Wi-Fi signal

If your Wi-Fi connection and the steps to bypass the router have not worked, try the following:

  • Move the router to another location to increase signal strength. A central location offers you the best connection and reception.
  • Remove your wireless devices from the router, as this can cause radio interference that affects your WiFi connections.
  • Place your router in a higher location to get better reception than if you place it on the ground or behind a wall.

To do this:

  • Unplug your Roku.
